On this day, your guide picks you from your hotel in Kampala by 7:00am and proceeds to Kibale National Park. You get to enjoy great sceneries along the way and have your lunch at Igongo cultural centre. You arrive at the park and check in at the lodge. After proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the do’s and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking in the jungle. Start the search for the chimpanzees and once you meet them, you are given 1 hour to interact with them as you take photos of them taking care of their young ones, feeding the young ones and many more.
After the trek, you proceed back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed with your drive to Mount Rwenzori National park. Upon your arrival, you start hiking the trail from Nyalengeja to OmukaKizza rest camp at 2,977meters. This hiking takes you through the pristine rain forest of Kyambogho ridge with the view of the Mubuku valley, and thenhikes the heavily forested ridge which is home to primates like black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys as well as the L’Hoest Monkey up to OmukaKizza rest camp. You get to enjoy the great views over the Rwenzori foot hills and Kasese town 2, 260 metres below.
On this day of hiking, you go up to Lake Mahoma where the forest gives a way to a long narrow moss covered ridge up to 3515m through a great beautiful forest of giant heather covered in layers of the green moss. Get to follow the footprints of mountain elephants through the bamboo as well as heather forest, see them having a drink at the hot spring. The ridge leads you to the Rukenga valley where you view the everlasting flowers and the Giant Lobelia. Then cross to Mahoma lake Camp for a night. From here, you are able to see Mt Baker, Mt Stanley and the portal peaks.
Breakfast early in the morning, after proceed for a field walk around the lake and descend back through Nyabitaba ranger post and the Mpanga ridge to connect to Mubuku valley a home of the three horned chameleons, this will mark the end of this hiking safari.
Breakfast in the morning, and then start your drive from Mount Rwenzori to Kampala having a stopover at the equator as well as lunch at Igongo Cultural centre. Have another stop at Mpambire drum makers point to buy yourself some souvenirs. After, proceed to Kampala arriving late afternoon.
