
DAY 1:
Have breakfast at the hotel and the guide picks you by 8:00 am, you proceed to the genocide memorial site to experience the memories of those who died during the 1994 genocide. After visit the inema arts museum to see more cultural items of Rwanda. Have lunch at any local restaurants as you prepare to visit some craft shops as well as local markets to buy some souvenirs. After return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2:
Have breakfast at hotel and then after start your drive to Nyungwe national park via Mulambi as well as a visit to Nyanza King’s Palace. This is a reconstruction of the royal residence, the king’s palace which is a beautiful crafted thatched dwelling shaped like beehive. It was the heart of Rwanda and was the site of battles and power struggles. You are to see many items found in this museum including; the long horned cows as well as the huts.
You later proceed to Nyungwe national park famous for chimpanzee trekking. This park is the largest tropical afro montane rain forest in east and central Africa. The forest receives over 2000mm of rain each year and its Rwanda’s largest water catchment area and its home to all Rwanda’s water bodies. The forest feeds both the River Nile and River Congo. The park is home to 300 bird species, butterflies, 75 mammal species, and 13 primates including golden monkeys.

DAY 3:
Have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed to the park headquarters for the briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe national parks. You are always give 1 hours to spend with the chimps as you take some photos and watch the young ones being taken care of. After return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park. The walk offers breathtaking views across the hazy forest and the sightings at the eye level of the many wildlife species that live in the canopy. The walk takes 2 hours and its starting and ending point are at Nyungwe national park headquarters.
After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

DAY 4:
Have breakfast at the Lodge and after proceed to Kamiranzovu water falls that has drawn the civility from the current travelers. The waterfall is divided into two parts, the lower part on huge rocks that is beautiful spot for photography whereas the second side is in front of the falling water. This waterfall walk takes courage, patience, obligation, body fitness as well as will of power. It includes trekking in the compressed tropical rain forest of Nyungwe National Park with dangerous undergrowth. Its situated 10 kilometers from the start and the hilly sceneries make the distance difficult taking ample time.
After, have lunch and then proceed with your drive to Bukavu city to engage in a city tour. This city is situated in the eastern part of DRC lying at the extreme southeastern extent of Lake Kivu. You visit the cathedral, the big brewery, the hydroelectric center, the public and busy market as well as the famous hospital called PANZI.

DAY 5:
Have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed to Kahuzi Biega National Park, this park spreads over 6000 sq km, the park is located in Bukavu town near the western bank of Lake Kivu in the borders of Rwanda and DRC. The park gets its name from the two volcanoes of Kahuzi and Biega, which are covered by the forest. The national park is home to the eastern lowland gorillas, this is a key activity carried out in the national park. Meeting these gorillas is an exceptional wildlife adventure you should not miss out on your safari to Africa.
The rangers will tell you about the dos and don’ts of trekking these eastern Lowland gorillas. Once you meet with them, you are given 1 hour to interact with them. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a visit the Tshiabati water falls. This trail follows a well distinct and well demarcated foot paths that runs very close and join to the two rivers thus offering a better, clear and great views of the waterfalls. The path is made up of many steps that one strolls on his way to and from the waterfalls. After the visit to the waterfall, proceed to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

DAY 6:
Have breakfast at the lodge and then proceed for a hike to KahuziBiega, this is a great way of exploring the amazing mountain environment. You have the chance to view variety of animals including the chimpanzees, Owl faced monkey and many different birds. Mount Kahuzi is the highest peak in the park, at 3,308m. This climb takes 4 hours through the great views of bamboo forest and sub alpine vegetation and the 3 hours to descend. This summit offers great views of Lake Kivu and the city of Bukavu.
After the hike, return to the lodge for lunch and relax in the afternoon.
Overnight at Kahuzi Tented Lodge

DAY 7:
Have breakfast at the lodge and drive back to Kigali city to catch your flight back home.
